Joshua Vallance has been winning on the kart racing circuits since he began racing at the age of nine years. He has been identified as a gifted racer with similar racing attributes to those on the Formula 1 grid. The Norfolk racer, who is now aged 15, has secured support from global company, Aon’s Assessment Solutions. It is working with metrics and psychophysiological data from V1 Logic which ascertains the specific characteristics that make for a successful driver.
Aon’s Assessment Solutions, part of Aon’s global Human Capital solutions, helps clients achieve sustainable growth by driving business performance through people performance. It undertakes 30 million assessments each year in 90 countries and 40 languages and is a keen supporter of Josh who has secured the 2019 Motorsport UK WMKC Junior Rotax Championship in advance of the championship ending and gets set to take on the 2020 race season.
V1 Logic specialises in data analysis to identify and develop winning racing drivers of the future. It is focused on developing best-in-class solutions – from on- and off-track driver development systems to talent engagement and discovery platforms. Using the success profile, V1 Logic has the capability to benchmark young talent and determine if they have the abilities and competencies needed to compete at the next level.
Jay Marshall of V1 Logic says:
“Our research shows that the base skills inherent in talented champions are the same the world over – self-motivation and a driven, enquiring intellect. Josh has both these qualities, which allow him to take on relevant information quickly, develop any upside and drive faster than the competition. There is no doubt in my mind, Josh has all the abilities to become a world champion”.
Howard Grosvenor, strategic solutions director at Aon’s Assessment Solutions, says:
“In the Aon Human Capital Business, we have long understood the value of understanding people to achieve business objectives. It is fantastic to see how this scientific, analytical approach can be applied to the world of motorsport to effectively identify and develop future talent”.
Sponsor, Richard Vass from Burland Technology Solutions, says:
“We are delighted to continue to support Josh at this early stage in his racing career and welcome this great news that Aon will be part of the racing family to support Josh”.
In his first league, Josh competed with much older and experienced racers to secure 13 1st place wins in that year alone, making him the 2014 Rookie Champion.
He later went on to take numerous Championship wins over the years, including alisting in the national press as one of the top 20 young talented kart racers in the UK.
